I thought we had until your teen years before we would ask you to stop talking on the phone, but apparently you are picking up Daddy's bad habits! Daddy was doing his usual chat and pace on his cell phone, so you decided to pick up the remote control, blab away on the phone and pace the floor. It was so hillarious! Your Daddy and I cracked up!

Visiting Santa

While Gigi was here for Thankgiving, we went to the mall to see Santa! You were such a good girl...you didn't even cry! You were a little unsure at first, but Mommy and Daddy jumped around like a bunch of clowns and you were laughing in no time, which made for a perfect picture!

Thanksgiving with Gigi

We had a great time at Thanksgiving. Gigi came to visit and we played dress up, went to the park and watched the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade in which you learned to kick like a rockette. When the horses were on, you yelled "Neigh! Neigh" So, of course, Gigi had to get you a stuffed horsey which you just love! You looked so beautiful in the red dress that Uncle Eric and Aunt Maria bought you for your birthday! We ate turkey and sweet potatoes and corn and stuffing....and on and on....for just the four of us! You were a trooper, though - eating turkey like an expert!

Fashion Show

When Gigi came for thanksgiving, you were quite the fashion diva! You entertained us with your fashion sense and runway prowess. You can sure rock a fur coat!

More Fair Fun

We went to another fair and this time they had some super fun animals...you were both scared and excited. The llama was crazy looking and the horse tried to take a bite of your leg....ikes!

Pennie the Penguin

At school they have a project where each child takes turns bringing home the class pet for the weekend. The class pet is a stuffed animal named Pennie, who is a penguin. On your weekend, we took that little thing everywhere - from Publix, to bedtime to the FAIR! What adventures we had! Then we put all the pictures and a story of our adventure in the class journal to be enjoyed for future caregivers of the penguin!

The Leaf Whisperer

I'm not sure what it is about leaves, but you love them! When out in the yard, you leave the toys behind and love to get your little hands on some leaves, pinestraw and rocks. Maybe you will be a bontanist when you get older....let's just hope you are better at biology than your mommy was!

Halloween Fun!

Well, we didn't get to go Trick-or-Treating because it rained, but I don't think you guys missed it. Instead, you hit the dogs with your magic wand, pranced in your costumes and watched the Great Pumpkin Charlie Brown!

A Halloween Parade!

While your BFF, Livi was visiting you got to go to school in your Halloween costumes for the Halloween parade! Your friends were so cute in all their costumes! I tried to hold your hand for the parade, but you let go and took off like you owned the place.

Your BFF Livi came to visit you and you got to go to the park for some fun! You got to ride your first "space ship", bounce on the see-saw and play ball with Aunt Julaine. Livi had so much fun going down the slide. You entertained yourself by picking up rocks and pine straw....what a mess!

Pumpkin Patch

I know there are a ton of pictures here, but I just couldn't pick my favorite! We had a lot of fun running around the pumpkin patch! We picked out a big pumpkin for Daddy, a smaller pumpkin for Mommy and a baby pumpkin for you. We never did get around to carving them, but at least we had fun picking them out! You have been keeping us so entertained lately with all your animal sounds (moo, bah and your own version of a meow). You are saying "momma" like a champ and are still sticking with the old favorite "dada". You can say bye-bye, uh-oh and duck. We have so much fun "talking" with you - you have so much to say! I should tell you, though, when you say "uh-oh" it is usually BEFORE you drop something....hmmm...makes me think it wasn't really an accident. You silly goose. I hear uh-oh just before peas hit the floor...what's that all about?

Breast Cancer Awareness Month

October is National Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Mommy's work supported the cause by allowing us to wear jeans on Fridays for a donation. So, I figured since Mommy was supporting Breast Cancer Awareness, then why not Addie too? So, you and I donned our best jeans and pink shirts and I must say - you wear pink very well!

So, you will probably look back on this some day and say "what the heck did you make me wear?" But, trust me when I tell you - you rocked those boots! What a cutie!

First Fair Adventure!!

We took you to your first fair on a chilly Sunday. You got to see some really BIG and quite smelly pigs, some lions and camels and lots of other creatures (of the human kind). You got a nibble of funnel cake and watched Daddy's friend Chandler turn green after a turn on one of the rides. I can't wait to take you back next year when you can ride more. You got to ride the merry-go-round but it was kind of slow. You had more fun moving your booty to the music of the fast rides.

School Fun!

This week your school is having a theme each day - what fun!! Yesterday was "Orange" day and today was "Wacky Tacky" day. Here are some pictures from your ensembles! The rest of the week should be a lot of fun!!

Look Who's Walking!

In a matter of days, you put that whole crawling thing behind you. One day you just started standing up on your own without holding on. Next thing we knew, you were walking across the room and then it was across the mall! Here is a video from one of those first few days. It's only been a week and tonight...I practically chased you to the bath! What a cutie you are! You like to hold my hand when you walk...I imagine that won't last forever, so I will enjoy it while I can!

Passed Out!

Here is proof that Papa's gift was very much appreciated! I went to make you lunch and when I snuck back around the corner, there you were - passed out like a drunken sailor! How cute you are!

GiGi's Ride!

Your Gigi got you a super special birthday present. Your first wagon came with everything except four wheel drive and heated leather seats! Your BFF Livi and you are going to have so much fun when she comes to visit! This ride was made for two! You were hesitant at first, but once you tasted the icing - your Mommy and Daddy's sweet tooth genese kicked in and you not only liked it, I thought you were going to eat the whole thing! Today is your first birthday!

I can't believe it has been a whole year! We sure have learned a lot in this crash course in parenting! I don't know how it is possible, but I love you more every day. When you were first born we loved you because you were our baby, but now we love you because you are you - so full of smiles, laughter, personality and fun. And, you are never short on hugs and kisses. You do something every day that makes us laugh! Because of you, I am a better person. Because of you, I find awe in every day things. Because of you, laughing takes on a whole different meaning. I am so proud to be your mommy. Your daddy and I love you more than even we thought was possible. We are going out for pizza for the big day to celebrate with friends. I'm looking forward to the mess you will make with the cake and I look forward to all the other messes you will make in the days ahead. As long as you are always having fun, I'm willing to clean up behind you! You are one special baby and we hope you have a very happy First Birthday! Love, Mommy

Family Visits!

Your Nana and Papa came to visit you and so did your Uncle Eric, Aunt Maria and Cousin Kayla. You and Kayla both have September birthdays, so we celebrated together. We went to the park, ate cake and played in the yard. It was such a good time and you and Kayla were so sweet together!

We went to a fun birthday party this weekend for Haley Brock who turned two! The party was at Jump City and they had lots of big jumping cages, but you weren't too sure about them! You did enjoy the cake and had lots of fun socializing!

Miss Rachael Visits!

Mommy's friend, Rachael, came to visit us for the weekend. We went shopping for a birthday gift, picked up your Halloween costume, ate pizza and had lots of laughs with you!

Dinner Time ....

Can I just say that dinner time keeps getting more and more interesting. If you take a bite of something with an odd texture, you have to spit it out into your hand, inspect it and put it back in. The other day you threw a banana at me and many times you give the dogs lots of treats. If you are done eating something, you will stash it in your high chair! The other day I was so proud that you ate all your cheerios, only to discover them later stashed in your chair. Let's hope your table manners improve with time!

First Steps (sort of)!

Yes, these are your first steps, but the bad news is that you didn't get too far! That's okay, though, you'll get there. You can walk from the coffee table to Mommy or Daddy - which is only about a step and a half away! Still...it was so cute and you were so excited! You aren't really walking yet - I think you have a ways to go, but I am proud of you for being so brave to give it a try!

Like Daddy, Like Addie....

Well, it looks like your Daddy isn't the only one to enjoy cold pizza! As soon as he sat down to sink his teeth into a cold slice of pizza, you beelined it over to get your own taste.

Pigtails!

You wore pig tails to school the other day and somehow you managed to keep them in all day! Wow! Here's a great picture of you with your pig tails and some sparkly new teeth coming in on the bottom.

Soccer Fun!

Your Daddy and you had a good time playing soccer! You have a pink soccer ball that your Gigi got for you before you were even born! You are pretty good at rolling it around, so I'm sure Daddy has plans for you very soon...soccer, golf, swimming.....you will be one busy girl!

What a Week!

Wow! What a week its been! You get smarter every day. You have two MORE teeth coming in - that will make 8 teeth once they finally come through. You are pointing out noses, understanding "no", eating big girl food (you had your first waffle!) and now you are cruising around the house like a crazy lady! I have bad news, though....you are not a very good driver. You stop traffic just to gab, you stall out a lot and you never use a blinker! Daddy would say, "just like mommy", but don't you listen to him - mommy drives just fine - when going forward. Anyway, we are so proud that you are becoming such a big girl! You are so much fun to play with - giggling, rolling the ball and always stopping for a quick hug! Here is a video of you cruising!!

Your First Real Word!

So, it isn't totally a word, but other than "da da", "ma ma" or "na na" you started to say "book" - or your version of it which is "bah" while you hold the book or when we ask if you want to read a book. At first we thought it was a coincidence, but then you did it over and over. Also, you have gotten really good at pointing out the noses of big bird, elmo and bert and ernie. You don't really know where your own nose is yet, but it won't be long. You have your pointer finger out on both hands and point at all the noses! What a smart little cookie you are! AND, today you blew your first kiss! You just learn so many things, so fast! You are always amazing us!

School Friends!

Today, for fun, we took some pictures of you with your teachers at school. They sure do love you and you love them too! Every morning when I drop you off, you crawl at lightening speed to either Miss Cheryl or Miss Gina. Miss Aleta greets you at the door every morning. I'm happy that you really like your school because some days it is hard to be at work when I would rather be playing with you!

10 Months Old!

So, daddy had to buy mommy a new camera for her birthday since we killed the last one on vacation! Tomorrow you will be ten months old, so in celebration, we put you in a pretty little dress and gave the camera a test run in the front yard. I absolutely love how they turned out. It doesn't hurt that the subject is so sweet and cute. I must thank God at least once a day that I get to love you and daddy. I'm very lucky to have you two. I love you, cookie.

9 Month Check-Up

I'm sorry there are no pictures to go with this post, but we took so many over our vacation that the camera literally got fried. Something tells me there was some sand and water involved, but either way...I'm hoping to get one for my birthday and we will be back in business. However, camera or no camera, I couldn't let your nine month check up go by without filling everyone in! You actually are closer to ten months, but either way, the check up was great! Your ears are looking good (for a change) and you weighed 19.11 pounds and are 28.25 inches long! The doctor said you were growing perfectly healthy! Yay! You were a good girl, too. You didn't even flinch when the doctor checked your ears and usually that drives you nuts! You ate snacks, through my cell phone on the floor 12 times and played with the cute baby in the mirror while waiting for the doctor! What a little nut you are, but I sure do love you!

Happy 4th of July!

You spent your first 4th of July hanging out in the pool and at the beach with your BFF, Olivia. Unfortunately, by the time the fireworks started, you were snug in bed....maybe next year you will get to see some fireworks!

Gigi's Park!

You and your cousins and Olivia spent time down the block from Gigi's house at the "Busy Park" as Caitlin and Lauren have named it. You loved swinging on the swing. In fact, you loved it so much that you cried when it was time to go!

The Beach!

Your first trip to the beach was full of sandy mouths, sticky fingers and sand-filled diapers. You were so cute with your little hats and bathing suits. You sat at the edge of the water and were unsure about the sand at first, but soon you were eating it like a pro. Olivia and her mommy and daddy were there too! You played with Nanny, Lauren, Olivia, Daddy and Mommy for a fun filled day!

Nanny & Poppy's Pool AND Gigi Turns 60!

You got to swim in the pool for the first time at Nanny and Poppy's house! You used the same floatie your cousin, Caitlin used when she was a baby - and that was six years ago! The water was chilly, but you didn't seem to mind a bit! Poor Sadie hid in the bushes because Dutchie (her cousin) was so excited to see her that Sadie was scared to death! We celebrated your Gigi's 60th Birthday at Nanny & Poppy's house with Aunt Meghan, Uncle Mike and Caitlin and Lauren!

The Tollison's House

After Lake June, we visited the Tollison's briefly - that's Olivia's house! She had lots of fun toys for you to play with and her Grandma even came over to watch you two nuts while Mommy and Daddy has some fun out with Olivia's Mommy and Daddy. You got your revenge by staying up half the night! Because of all the fun you had with Olivia's bean bag - we gotta get one for you too! I know someone who will be having a birthday soooon!

Lake June 2009

Well, after many months of waiting, you finally got to hang with your BFF, Olivia, at Lake June. It was your first time on a boat, in a lake, on a floatie and riding an innertube. Many firsts....much fun. You were such a little trooper. You and Olivia were so darn cute together! Here are some pictures of your adventures: The two of you watched Blues Clues in complete amazement! Olivia cashed out on the boat about three times! You learned how to effectively pick your nose! You loved driving the boat, but the rest of us got nervous! You were not a fan of the life jacket...it made you look like a hot dog!

Road Trip!

We left for another road trip (you will soon be an expert) to head for Florida! We left on Thursday night and stayed in a hotel...your first! You and Mommy and Daddy and the two crazy dogs crammed into a room and then it was up early to hit the road again! We met Nanny and Poppy along the way so they could watch the dogs for us. Then, it was off to Lake June to see your BFF, Olivia! You two hadn't seen each other since last Thanksgiving!

Happy Father's Day!

Today, Daddy celebrated his first Father's Day with his baby girl! We took him to breakfast at Cracker Barrel. It isn't the fanciest place, but you can be as loud as you want and you took advantage of that today! You munched on some pancakes and some grits, not to mention everything else in a two foot radius. You made a very sweet gift for your Daddy, too! You made him a stepping stone for the yard with your tiny handprint on it alongside Mommy's. That, was an experience! When you dipped your hand, my first thought was, "That was too easy!" And, then you yanked a handful of wet cement and covered the both of us! Then, you thought it might taste good, but fortunately it only made it to your lip! I had to hose you down, but in the end it was worth it! We got Daddy a garden bench and he fixed up a little area with plants and lights. This can be a special place to hang out for you and Daddy! He sure does love his baby girl! Cashed Out!

I guess you were super tired today because when you came to our bed at around 5:15, you stayed conked out til about 7am - which, trust me is VERY late for you! :) How cute are you? And, yes, Gigi - that is the duvet cover you bought for us.

Those Crazy Teeth!

Okay - so your teeth are so crazy! You got your first two teeth when you were three and a half months old - they were two on the bottom front. So, patiently we have waited through many tear-filled nights for those next teeth to show up. Where would they pop up next? The ones on bottom next to your current teeth? Or, maybe on top - the front two? No, not our Addie! Your next tooth to make its debut is your left eye tooth - which is completely unusual and you look like a crazy old lady missing all her teeth! Here in this picture, you can see just how silly it looks! Thankfully, just yesterday I noticed its neighbor poking through as well....which will still look nuts, but I'm guessing before the week is up, all four front teeth will be making a grand entrance. Let's hope so because Daddy is anxiously awaiting those teeth so you can taste some sauce and meatballs!

Transition to Your Big Girl Bed!

So, a few days ago I hear you rumbling around at about 6am and realize it is time to start the day! Always bright and early with you around! I open your door to find you are not squished up in the corner of your bed or laying on your back with your hands behind your head or even turned over on your tummy arching your back. Nope. You were sitting up like a little lady playing with your stuffed puppy! Hey! What happened to my baby?! So, that night, we took out the bumper padding and lowered the bed, which was a good thing because now I rarely find you lying down! You have also taken to sleeping on your side instead of your back - I suppose it is a lot more cozy! And, the tushy picture? Well, that's just down right adorable!

Today, you tried your hand at running away. However, you did it very sweetly...waiving bye-bye to Mommy and Daddy the entire time. When we asked where you were headed, you simply shrugged...looks like the destination was just your jumper!

Finally Crawling!

Okay, today, FINALLY you started really crawling....not that you can't get around where you need to go, but you have different methods. Your Daddy says it is lazy; I prefer to call it creative. But, this morning while we were getting ready for work, we enticed you with something fun and you crawled four "steps". Here is a tiny bit of that action! Way to go, kiddo!

Another Ear Infection!

So, for a few days we thought that cute little tooth coming in was the cause of all your crankiness, but I finally dragged you to the doctor only to find out you have yet ANOTHER double ear infection! You poor thing. I guess every tiny cold is going to result in an ear infection. I wouldn't want you to think you were always an angel, so these pictures are an ode to your little temper, although, in this case, it truly wasn't your fault! xoxo

On Sunday, your Daddy and I went to see a movie - Terminator Salvation. So, your buddy Miss Angela came over to watch you. She just loves you to pieces. She is always so excited to see you.

Bubble Time!

We decided to see if you would like bubbles this Saturday. You were intrigued, but mostly confused - you didn't understand when you grabbed something it disappeared! Those pesky bubbles kept you entertained all of about 15 minutes, then it was on to something more fun....looking at yourself in the mirror!

Memorial Day at the Park

On Monday we went to the park so you could have some fun on the swings. And, boy did you ever. At first you looked a little apprehensive, but it wasn't long before you were giggling like a little monkey! It was pretty hot, so we left and went home for a nice nap!

Pop Pop Comes to Visit!

Your daddy's Dad - your PopPop came to visit you and he brought you your very first Webkinz! We named him Pop'sHop - he was a pink frog covered in hearts! We spent the weekend playing Wii, going out for burgers and going to the mall. PopPop bought you some sweet little outfits and I can't wait for you to model them! He was so excited to see you and you were such a good little hugger! When we went to Red Robin, you got to play with a balloon for the first time - needless to say, it as a HAIR raising experience! Also, you can see you got the case of the giggles at bath time!

Even though you haven't mastered the art of crawling, you sure do stand like a big girl! You are pulling yourself up and having all kinds of fun! You can also see here the beginning of your "kisses"! You pucker up like a fish and KISS! It's the best!

Memorial Day 2009

You spent your first Memorial Day weekend hanging with Mommy and Daddy! It rained most of the time, but for a few sunny hours, we got to go outside and you took a dip in your first swimming pool. Okay, it was very small, but you still had fun. We are still trying to get you to crawl, but you have no interest. However, you are starting to pull up on things, so we are wondering if you are going to skip this whole crawling thing anyway. "Da da" is still the word of the day - it applies to any and everything!

Giving Hugs!

You are such a good hugger! Here you are giving hugs to your teddy bear. You also give very sweet kisses, even though sometimes they come in the form of bites!

Say Da Da....

I've been trying for weeks to get you to say "Ma Ma", but all I can get out of you is "Da Da"! One day, I just know you will surprise me with a big giant MA MA MA!!

Nanny & Poppy Visit

Nannyand Poppy along with Gigi and her friend, Mike drove a very long way just to come see you and give you lots of hugs and kisses. We had to check their bags when they left to make sure they didn't try to take you with them! We played lots of games and your daddy got a perfect score in bowling on the wii...a day that will live in infamy! You spent most of the time waiving to everyone and saying "da da". Poppy had a good time brushing your hair while you and Nanny conversed via a bunch of "aahh"s. We took a ride down to the park to look at the Savannah River and Gigi gave you a bath every night! I don't think you could be any sweeter if you tried!

Mother's Day!

May 10th was my first Mother's Day! Your daddy was so sweet! He booked me a nice hotel room so I could get a full night's rest - no offense, baby, but you were keeping us up all night! I was starting to feel like a zombie! So, we all had dinner and then I went to the hotel, rented a movie and closed my eyes at 9:30...only to discover there was a crying baby next door! What the heck? Well, thankfully, she didn't cry for too long and I did get some sleep, but I was up at 7:15 missing you and Daddy, so we all met up for a nice Mother's Day breakfast - where you were having fun screeching for all the restaurant visitors! You got me a beautiful picture frame so I could display a picture of you and me! Daddy made me a nice dinner and cleaned up too! It was a great day!

Papa Ernie and Lou Visit

Papa Ernie and Lou came to see you the first weekend in April. We had a good time playing wii and eating out! Papa Ernie and Daddy played golf while you and I and Lou went shopping and then out to lunch. They just kept saying what a good little baby you were! I think you had Papa Ernie wrapped around your finger before the weekend was over!

Crazy for your jumper!

You loved your jumper! When Big Nanny and Nana came to visit you, they got a kick out of watching you jump up and down! Nana recorded it a little sideways at first - but you can still see how much fun you had bouncing around like a little nut!

Big Nanny & Nana Visit!

Big Nanny and Nana came from Pensacola to visit you for the weekend and we had a lot of fun playing! You started to say your first word...."da da" (of course)! You also started to waive bye-bye! We went shopping at the mall, ate at the Chophouse and you got lots and lots and lots of hugs! Nana bought you your first pair of designer shoes!! You got some really cool Sketchers!

Off to Tallahassee!

You took your first airplane ride on April 18th! We flew down to Tallahassee to spend some time with your cousins Caitlin and Lauren while their mommy and daddy went to Aruba! You had such a good time playing with "KK" and "Lewey". Your favorite toy was a box of markers and a Hannah Montana microphone! While we were there, we visited a friend of mommy's. Her name is Sherri and her daughter Summer was turning one year old so all of us went to her birthday party! On the flight down you were such a good girl - napping and then playing sweetly. The flight back....not so smooth! You were so tired from all the fun you had that you were quite grumpy, but you decided to FINALLY nap...as the plane was landing. You little stinker! Fortunately, there was nice grandpa next to us who let you play with his Blackberry - that kept you happy for a while!

Happy Easter!

We spent your first Easter morning having a big breakfast at Cracker Barrel where you nibbled on your first bite of pancake! We then went to the park and played in the swings - which you loved by the way! We then headed to the mall just to walk around and people watch. The mall ended up being closed, so we just hung out at Barnes and Noble for a bit and then headed home for some family time. You got some Easter cards from your grandmothers and a cute bunny from Gigi.

Here you are munching on your first finger foods! It took a bit to coordinate the hand to mouth thing, but you were a pro in no time!

The Movie Star

When your Aunt Joy and Uncle Dave were visiting us, Aunt Joy took some fantastic pictures of you....again! They turned out so cute!

Your First Masters!

Your Uncle Dave and Aunt Joy came to visit us the weekend before Masters Week. Your daddy loves golf so it is always a fun thing for him to do. He and Uncle Dave went to the practice round on Monday while you and Aunt Joy and I went shopping at Surrey Center and had lunch at TakoSushi. Your favorite trick was to screech really loud at the restaurant. They were happy screeches, so that was good, but still really funny. You were determined to get everyone's attention! Your daddy bought you a very cute Masters Polo (onesie) that you looked so cute in!

Sitting Up!

When you were just six months old you started sitting up like a big girl! One day you were sort of sitting up with a little support and then the next you had mastered it all by yourself. I went to pick you up from day care and there you were just playing with toys sitting up!

Gigi Comes to Visit

On March 20, 2009, your Gigi flew up to Georgia to visit you. We spent the day at a kid's fair behind the library and then we went shopping at Babies R Us! We ate at Poblano's mexican restaurant and then went to the park where they were having a hot air balloon show! What a fun day we had!

One Sunday afternoon in March, your daddy and I took you down the street to the park. They didn't have the new swings ready yet, but we had fun on the slide.

Rolling Over

Here you are at four and a half months rolling over from tummy to back and then from back to tummy. It's funny how these little things send parents over the moon!

Your Favorite Treat - Your Feet!

One of your first and favorite treat was nibbling on your toes! When a shiny toy gets old or a snack tastes dull - your ten little piggies always do the job!

First Foods!

The first time you started to eat "real" foods was at about four months....well, all we did was make a mess. You liked to blow razzberries so that food flew everywhere! What a mess! We tried rice cereal, but you weren't too crazy about that. So, we moved on to butternut squash, which you did okay, but mostly you ate it and it just drooled right out of your mouth. It took about 4-5 weeks of trying and trying and trying and eventually you were eating up food like a champ! You ate just about any fruit or veggie we threw your way....not like your daddy!

First Day of School/ Day Care

I never thought day care was a big deal until it was your time to go! A few weeks before I had to go back to work, anxiety set in! I started to worry if they would know all the tricks to calm you or how to get you to sleep or what to do if you needed a hug! Would they give you the same attention as mommy and would they ignore you or play with you? I was getting really worried! So, to help ease us in, I took you a few weeks early for a couple hours here and there to get you used to going and get me used to being without you! It was really hard, but you met a very nice lady there who is still babysitting you from time to time. Miss Angela loved you to pieces and although we ended us changing schools, we still let Miss Angela babysit you because she just loves you and you love her. Here are some pictures of your first day with Miss Angela and mommy's first day back to work! I thought about you all day and would rush from work to go see you and give you a big hug and kiss!!

Your First Christmas!

We spent your first Christmas in Tallahassee with your cousins and Gigi. Poor Nanny was sick with bronchitis and couldn't make it, but we called her many times to send hugs and kisses. You got lots of cute PJs and Aunt Meghan got you your very first suitcase. It's a good thing too, because you will be one traveling baby! Caitlin and Lauren couldn't stop giving you squeezes and Lauren had a good time showing you how to dance. We spent a day driving to Valdosta, GA to visit your Papa Ernie and Lou. After Christmas we drove to Pensacola to spend some time with Nana, Papa and Big Nanny. By then, your schedule was so out of whack, we didn't know if we were coming or going and sleeping was not in the plans! Even so, everyone couldn't get enough hugs and kisses because you were all smiles and just too squeezable!

Your First Christmas Photo

Well, we waited way too long to get your first Christmas picture! We made an appointment on a Sunday night and waited in line FOREVER! You were so sweet and patient and when it was our turn, I put you in your Christmas dress that Gigi bought you and as soon as I sat you down, you spit up all over your dress! Aaah! And, then you started crying! We did the best we could getting pictures in between the crying! In the end, the picture turned out cute and mommy learned a valuable lesson - no appointments when baby should be sleeping or eating!

Meet Nanny & Poppy!

What a trooper you were! We drove to Tampa when you were just 10 weeks old to visit your Nanny and Poppy, and of course Gigi too. You did so good in the car, until the last hour when you had had enough. I certainly couldn't blame you! You and Poppy spent time napping together and Gigi and Nanny played tug-of-war with you. We visited Gigi at work and met her BFF, Kathy Schreyer. We went to the mall and had lots of bathtime fun too. Then we trekked back for another nine hour drive, but again - you were such a good baby! It was nice to see all your grandparents, but boy were we glad to be home and out of that car!

The Tollisons Visit!

Thanksgiving was extra special because it was the first time you met your Best Friend, Olivia! Livi was born on July 21, just two months before you. Her mommy and daddy were great friends of your mommy and daddy. The two of you shared some fun on your tummy mats and got to visit Santa Clause together! Aunt Julaine and Uncle Jeff helped mommy and daddy fry up a delicious turkey and make a fabulous Thanksgiving feast! We had such a great time and you and Livi were so cute together! What a pair!

The Wilkeys Visit

When you were just five weeks old your Aunt Meghan and Uncle Mike came to visit you with your cousins, Caitlin and Lauren. They also brought their newest addition to the family, Dutchie! You sure hated to take naps and for two days straight you only took one 45 minute nap all day! You were one tired girl! Finally, you found a comfy spot on Uncle Mike's chest and he was not allowed to move until you woke up! Your cousins just loved you to pieces and had to restrain from squeezing you too much! It was hard to do, but they did a great job. Your Aunt Meghan gave you lots of kisses and cuddled with you. You stole all the hearts, even if you were a little grumpy from taking no naps!

Gigi's Vist

Your Gigi visited you when you were just two weeks old. She went with you to your first doctor visit (no shots yet!) and we were so surprised to find out that you had gained two pounds since you were born! Wow! We went window shopping in Aiken, SC for your first visit outside the house and your first attempt at shopping! You were a pro right away - who knew?! It was hard to get a hold of you for feeding and sleeping because that Gigi wanted you all to herself! Well, we couldn't blame her because you were pretty darn cute!

Nana's Visit

Your Nana left bright and early from Pensacola the morning that mommy was in labor! She made it just three hours after you were born and was the first to snuggle you (other than mommy and daddy). Nana visited with you for a week and made lots of dinners and babysat so Mommy and Daddy could go on a date, but of course, all we did was think of you!

September 20, 2008 - Welcome!

Welcome Baby Addison!
Well, I'm starting your blog a bit late, so we've got some catching up to do. You will be eight months old in just a few days, so here is a brief re-cap so far.

You arrived on a Saturday at 12:36 pm and our lives have never been the same. You were so tiny, but you had a head full of hair! The doctor said you had more hair than your daddy! Your Nana came to visit you three hours after you were born followed by your Gigi at two weeks, Uncle Dave and Aunt Joy at five weeks, Aunt Meghan and Uncle Mike along with your cousins, Caitlin and Lauren at six weeks and finally, Aunt Julaine and Uncle Jeff brought your best friend, Olivia, when you were two months old! So many people were happy to meet you and you didn't disappoint!

You hated your first bath, but it wasn't long before you loved bathtime! You stayed awake more than any other newborn in history - we were sure God was playing tricks on us. You loved your swing and you always like anything that played music. You were such a trooper when we drove down to Tampa to visit your Nanny and Poppy in early December. Poppy couldn't get enough of you and we thought that Gigi would kidnap you for sure.
